I’m not here to bash anyone using plastic in their products, but I truly believe there’s no need for it. I’ve made a conscious decision to avoid plastic in all my products, and I carefully choose packaging that is recyclable, biodegradable, and as eco-friendly as possible.

For my wax melts, I use glassine paper, made from wood pulp, a much better alternative to plastic. If you’re creating candles or wax melts, I encourage you to seek out eco-friendly options. They’re easy to find, affordable, and make a real difference for the planet.

Every label I make is not only illustrated by me but also made completely by hand. There is a whole process of exporting the artwork and making sure it’s calibrated correctly for print and cutting.

For every label there is 8 pieces of artwork that needs to be created. Then each of those labels then needs to be re artworked to put onto the cutting software. It’s a long job! But it has to be done to make sure each candle has the exact bespoke look I am after. It can take me a whole day just to create one label artwork. Hence why I only create small batches of candles.

I think I overthink it for sure but I want it to be just right so future me doesn’t have a headache the next time I need to create more labels.

Health anxiety is no joke. Before I would have said anxiety was a thing people fake but it’s so powerful it takes over your body and basically makes you an insane person for a while. It’s such a crazy mechanism your body uses to keep you safe. The whole time I did not feel safe. I felt like my body was betraying me…

It’s been a while hasn’t it…

I’m back! A few of you have been asking where I have been and if I was still selling. In short yes I am. And I’m back with a new look.

Why the new look?
Well I wasn’t happy with the direction of the gods. It was a route I chose to start with just to get me going but I found it creatively boxed me into a corner. The whole thing is self imposed! But for me when I create something I need to be happy with it and feel free and lose to change as I am a bit of a fickle pickle.

So I have made the decision to start from scratch essentially. I found myself become a bit overwhelmed by trying to create new vessels trying to leap before I could even jump so to say. I just realised at the end of all my failings that you guys just want great fragrances to enjoy in your homes. Sure in the future I will expand and try new things but I just needed to get the basics right first.

New smells will becoming as so go. And please talk to me make requests I’m sure we can create something wonderful together. ♥️♥️♥️

My environment is everything to me. If I feel like my space is cramped (like it was) I find myself being very unproductive and the space being very inconvenient to work in.

This is the first step out of my brain to allow me to progress my small business. And allow me to work from home with my day job. By having this space my mind is less cluttered and I feel closer to achieving my goal of running my small business full time. I am so happy!

I have to keep telling myself that small steps in the right direction are better than making leaps in the wrong direction.

🎶 Talk about write the theme tune, sing the theme tune (maybe that reference is SO out of date now). But in this case it’s so true! I make EVERYTHING myself from scratch. I can’t afford to outsource my designs, all of it is designed, printed, cut and stuck on by little ol’ me.

And I love it! I feel so accomplished that I have made it. I’VE MADE IT ALL! I guess I have always had the attitude “If you want something done. Then you have to do it yourself.”
